Queen on Fire. Vilken show. Ja jag är i England och hälsar på min kolega Andrew. Och på lördagen var det en välgörnhetsföreställning på Hopley’s Garden Center till Ambulansflyget här i Heartfordshire i England. Det är lite ovant med att se att man måste samla in pengar till såna saker som vi i sverige tycker ska vara nåt som staten tillhandahåller men olika länder olika seder. Ja i alla fall så gjorde vi en picknick. Själva föreställningen startade kl 8:45 med ett förband kl 07:00. Insläppet var kl 6:30 så för att vara på plats och få bra platser så lärde vi oss av förra årets föreställning, och var där redan 6:40.
Vi startade med att ha picknick och andrew gick runt och pratade med alla som han kännde. Sen kom ett förband som hette Muttlys Grean eller nåt sånt och dm spelade en underlig blandning mellan modärnmusik med inslag av Ståkar eller Chello. Ganska kosntigt men det fördrev ju tiden lite. Det var också en del lotterier under tiden och dragningen skulel bli senare på kvällen.
Förra året så regnade det hela tiden så när vi komm tillbaka var jag helt genomsur. I år så var vädret ganska bra. Solen sken lite när allt startade och det var uppehåll till sista 5 minutrarna så det startade och regna lite. Inget farligt. Hela föreställning avslutades med ett fint fyrverkeri och trots att det regnade lite så var det jättebra.
Efter showen gick vi hem till andrew och tog det lite lungt.

Wow what an event. Queen on fire. At the moment I am at Andrews place for a week of relaxing and peaceful work. And also ofcuase the Hopley’s event. Its a bit strange coming from Sweden and seeing that you have to raice money for ambulance helicopters. In Sweden that’s all taken care of by the state and government, but I guess that its also a god way as people here can do it them self and if the government cant do it you can make it happen your self. Im not sure that could be done in Sweden at all. But different countries different customer.
We started out with our picknick things so that we should be there at 6:30, but where actualy there at 6:40, and learning the lesson from last year, one should be in time if one whants a god seat. its a very nice little comunity and a lot of people come buy and said hello and we had a great time. We where quite a big part – 12 in all, Me and andrew, Nicola (Andrews sister) and her 2 kids, Patrick and Beck. Then there was Phil and Kerry, David and Jean, and the McKenzie family.
The show started with a starterband that was called Muddly Greans I think that was playing a strange mixture of guitarr and chello. They started at 7 and the real band “Queen On Fire” starts at 8:45. The starterband was a bit weird but it passes the time. There was also some raffeling or lottey going on and the grand price was a BMW Convertible to loan for a weekend.
Last year it was pouring down but this year it was nice and sunny form most of the time. It just came some raindrops at the end of the last part of the show and the fireworks but it was slowly raining only so it was not bad.
In between the 2 part of the Queen On Fire show they had the drawing for the lottery and Kirstie McKenzie wan the BMW for a week. Its nice when someone you know winns.
The last part of everytng was a great firework and even if it rained a bit it was great. Then it was just time to walk home with all the chairs and pickinck parts. A very enjoyable evening.
