If you like me have a lot of “friends” on Facebook its a bit annoying that FB decides what you should see. Sometimes some updates from my kiss is not showing up and thats a bit annoying. But there is now a way around this – and the solution is “close friend” list.

When you go into FB on the left side click friends and  you can add firnds to you “close friends” list. When this is done, you will see all of their posts, not just the few that FB chooses to show you. Then click on “close friends” in your news feed and you will see the post from these “close firends”, but you have to remember to do this each time you log on.

You probably want to fix the settings for for the “Close friends” list a bit before you are done.

Then click on “close friends” in your news feed. Then on the top right of the friends iten click “manage list” and click on the “Choose update types …”.  Then uncheck “comment and likes”, so you won’t see every time they like something or make a comment on anything in your news-feed. I also removed the Games item because I don’t pay games in facebook any more.

Then to the left of “manage list” click on “notifications” and turn notifications OFF or you will be notified every time they do anything.
