As a old Unix/Linux programmer I spend a lot of time in vi. Or vim nowadays. And i like the way it highlights search result.

But when I have done what I need with the search i what it to go away.

And you can do that, but it took me some manual reading to find it so I thought of chairing that to all.

The command you want to use is nohl (No Highlight). So you press :nohl and it goes away – simpel – when you know it.
